June 11, 2025 - Stan today released the chilling trailer for the new series The Institute, from executive producers Stephen King and Jack Bender (From/Lost) which premieres July 14, same day as the U.S. and only on Stan.
The Institute, based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, tells the gripping story of teen prodigy Luke Ellis (Joe Freeman), who is abducted and wakes up at a mysterious facility filled with children who arrived under similarly sinister circumstances and all of whom possess strange supernatural abilities. Meanwhile, in a nearby town, haunted former police officer Tim Jamieson (Ben Barnes) is trying to outrun his past. But peace won’t come easily, as Tim’s path is set to collide with Luke’s in a battle far bigger than either could imagine.


The Institute stars Mary-Louise Parker (Ms. Sigsby), Ben Barnes (Tim Jamieson), Joe Freeman (Luke Ellis), Simone Miller (Kalisha), Fionn Laird (Nick), Hannah Galway (Wendy), Julian Richings (Stackhouse), Robert Joy (Dr. Hendricks) and Martin Roach (Chief Ashworth).
The Institute is executive produced by Stephen King, Jack Bender, Benjamin Cavell, Gary Barber, Sam Sheridan and Ed Redlich and directed by Jack Bender and teleplay by Benjamin Cavell.
New series The Institute premieres July 14, followed by new episodes every Monday, only on Stan.
