Swimming

  • Moesha Johnson took the Women's Marathon Swim to the field in the opening event of Day 13 and came away with a Silver medal behind Sharon van Rouwendal (NED).

Canoe Sprint

  • In a final which ended in a photo finish, Australia were edged out by just 0.04s by Germany but still ended up with a Silver medal in the Men's K4 500.

Athletics

  • Jess Hull has backed up her strong recent form with a confident run in the semis to qualify for the Women's 1500m Final.

Water Polo

  • The Stingers will play for Australia's first Water Polo Gold medal since Sydney 2000, coming from behind to tie their Semi-Final clash with the USA at 8-all before triumphing in a tense penalty shoot-out. (Clip here)
    • They now face Spain who also survived a shootout against the Netherlands. (Clip here)

Boxing

  • Caitlin Parker has won Australia's first Olympic medal in Women's Boxing, securing Bronze despite a Semi-Final loss to Li Qian (CHN).

Beach Volleyball

  • Mariafe Artacho del Solar and Taliqua Clancy will play for Bronze after going down to Brazil in a tense three-set Semi-Final under the Eiffel Tower.

Diving

  • After finishing second in the preliminary round, Maddison Keeney backed up that form to also finish second in the 3m Springboard Semi-Final to establish herself as a genuine medal chance.
  • On Olympic debut, Kurtis Mathews dived his way to a top 10 finish in the Men's 3m Springboard Final.

Sport Climbing

  • Oceania Mackenzie finished sixth in the Bouldering & Lead Semi-Final, qualifying for the eight-athlete Final on Saturday.

Athletics

  • Botswana's Letsile Tebogo scored a major upset on the Paris track, winning the 200m ahead of Kenny Bednarek (USA) and 100m Gold medallist and pre-race favourite Noah Lyles (USA).
  • Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone (USA) has set her sixth World Record on the way to Gold and a successful title defence in the Women's 400m Hurdles.
  • Tara Woodhall-Davis (USA) launched her way to the Women's Long Jump Gold medal, edging out Tokyo Gold medallist Malaika Mihambo (GER) by 12cm.
  • Arshad Nadeem has won Pakistan's first-ever Gold medal outside of Hockey breaking a 16-year Olympic Record to claim victory over reigning champion Neeraj Chopra (IND) and two-time World Champion Anderson Peters (GRN).
  • Grant Holloway won the United States' third Athletics Gold of Day 12 in the Men's 100m Hurdles, scoring a US one-two alongside compatriot Daniel Roberts.

Basketball

  • Favourites USA survive massive scare against underdogs Serbia, overcoming a big deficit in the final quarter to sneak past them. They will meet France in a huge Final, after the hometown heroes rolled past Germany.

Golf

  • Morgane Metraux (SUI) leads the tournament at the the halfway point at eight-under, one stroke ahead of Yin Ruoning (CHN) with Lydia Ko a further two strokes back.

Football

  • Morocco thrashed Egypt 6-0 in an all-African decider to claim Bronze in the Men's Football tournament, winning their nation its first-ever Olympic medal outside of Athletics or Boxing. (Clips here and here)

Hockey

  • Netherlands has taken out the Men's Hockey with victory in the Gold medal match. The Dutch were locked 1-1 with Germany at full-time before triumphing in 3-1 in a nail-biting shootout
  • India defeated Spain 2-1 to claim the Bronze medal.

Diving

  • China scored a one-two finish in the Men's 3m Springboard, with Xie Siyi and Wang Zongyuan both scoring 100+ point final dives on their way to the podium. (Clip here)

Basketball

  • France have played their way into the Men's Basketball Gold medal match with a 73-69 victory over Germany in the Semi-Final.

Sport Climbing

  • Veddriq Leonardo won Indonesia's first Gold medal of Paris 2024, defeating China's Wu Peng in the Big Final of the Men's Speed event. It is only the ninth Olympic Gold medal Indonesia has ever won and the first outside of Badminton.

Weightlifting

  • Just hours after Leonardo's Gold, Rizki Juniansyah lifted his way to first place in the ​ Men's 73kg securing a golden day for Indonesia.
