16 September 2025 - The 2025/26 season of the UEFA Champions League kicks off on Wednesday 17 September from 1:45am AEST, with every match of the world's most prestigious club football competition streamed live and exclusive on Football's New Home, Stan Sport.
2024/25 champions Paris Saint-Germain are back looking to replicate last season's incredible run. But they face stiff competition from Europe’s elite, including Premier League favourites Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle United, and recent UEFA Europa League champions Tottenham Hotspur. Heavyweights such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and more are all vying for football glory.
The competition continues its revamped format from last season, giving fans more opportunities to watch their favourite clubs in action.
Matchday 1 promises must-see clashes: early favourites Liverpool take on Atlético Madrid, Chelsea faces German giants Bayern Munich, and Newcastle United embrace underdog status against Spanish kingpins Barcelona.
European football excitement continues next week with the UEFA Europa League returning on September 25, featuring Premier League club Nottingham Forest under new head coach Ange Postecoglou. The UEFA Conference League kicks off on October 3, with plenty of fan favourite clubs in action across both competitions.
