WITNESS GREATNESS WITH A NEW SEASON OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE KICKING OFF THIS WEEKEND

Every Match. Live & Exclusive on Stan Sport.

20 August 2026 - The wait is over. The Premier League officially returns this weekend, and Stan Sport is set to bring Australians every defining moment live and exclusive as the 2026/27 season gets underway.

The action kicks off with an unmissable opening weekend. Defending champions Arsenal begin their title defence against newly promoted Coventry City (Saturday 5:00am AEST), before Hull City host Manchester United in a massive prime time blockbuster (Saturday 8:30pm AEST).

All eyes will be on 18-year-old Socceroos rising star Lucas Herrington as he looks to make his highly anticipated Premier League debut against United. Fresh off a breakout World Cup, Australia's most expensive export recently completed a record £17 million move to Hull City.

Fresh from the World Cup, the Premier League’s biggest names return to club football, with global superstars including Erling Haaland (Norway / Manchester City), Bukayo Saka (England / Arsenal), Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands / Liverpool), Reece James (England / Chelsea), and Bruno Fernandes (Portugal / Manchester United). They’ll be joined by a host of newly crowned Spanish World Cup champions, including Pedro Porro (Spain / Tottenham Hotspur), bringing even more world-class pedigree back to England's top flight.

Adding to the anticipation is a major shake-up on the touchlines, with a host of new managers stepping into the Premier League and setting the stage for a fascinating season of new rivalries and tactical battles.

Stan Sport is home of the world’s best football in Australia, with all 380 matches live & exclusive on Stan Sport, backed by world-class coverage, analysis and opinion from the biggest names in the game.

Mark Schwarzer, Socceroos & Premier League Legend, said:

“The Premier League just keeps getting bigger, and I genuinely think we’re heading into its biggest season yet. There are storylines everywhere you look, and having a young Socceroo in Lucas Herrington taking on the world’s best gives Australian fans even more reason to tune in. I can’t wait for it to get underway.”

The cultural footprint of the Premier League in Australia has never been bigger. Pubs across the country were packed when Arsenal lifted the trophy last season, mirroring the unforgettable scenes in North London.

That energy is only growing. From packed pubs and watch parties to Premier League jerseys on streets across the country, millions of Australian fans are part of one of the biggest ongoing conversations in global sport.

And world-class football doesn't stop at the Premier League.
