December 4, 2025 - With just two days until Saturday’s highly anticipated Ring of Fire: Opetaia v Cinkara, Jai Opetaia, Australia’s no.1 boxer and the world’s greatest cruiserweight, and Hûseyin Cinkara, met at a press conference today in Surfers Paradise.

Joined by MC Thomas Treiber and host Rob Schyff, tension filled the room as the two undefeated fighters faced the media on the eve of Friday's weigh-in and face off, with Opetaia throwing shade at Cinkara as he plans to defend his IBF cruiserweight world title and Ring Magazine cruiserweight title.

Jai Opetaia said: “This is a very important fight for my career and losing is not an option. I’m prepared for 12 rounds of war. Let’s do it. Cinkara’s got nothing to lose, and that makes him dangerous. But we’re prepared. Whatever he brings, we’ve got an answer to. How tough is he? Let’s find out on Saturday.”

Hüseyin Cinkara said: “I’ve worked very hard for this fight and I’m ready to go. Jai is the best fighter out there in the cruiserweight division. But I’ve come here prepared and with all my belief in myself, I’m going to bring it to the fight come Saturday night. We’re both going to bring our best game, and the best man will win, and that’s going to be me.”

Joining them on stage were the stars from a stacked maincard, including Max McIntyre and Jed Morris who are fighting for the WBC Australasian Super Middleweight title  as well as Jake Wyllie and Paul Flemming as they prepare to compete for the Super Lightweight title.
