October 20, 2025 - Stan today announced the gripping new series The Iris Affair, a tense and cinematic chase thriller that pits two brilliant minds against each other in a deadly game of hide and seek across Italy, premieres November 13, only on Stan.
Starring Niamh Algar (Mary & George, The Virtues) and Tom Hollander (The White Lotus, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans), The Iris Affair tells the story of enigmatic genius Iris Nixon (Algar), who cracks a string of complex online puzzles. Iris is then led to a piazza in Florence, where she meets charismatic entrepreneur Cameron Beck (Hollander), who invites her to work with him to unlock a powerful and top-secret piece of technology. Her curiosity piqued, she accepts. But when Iris discovers its dangerous potential, she steals the journal containing the device’s activation sequence—and vanishes.


What follows is a relentless pursuit, from a remote cabin in Sardinia to the bustling streets of Rome, as Cameron races to find Iris in a high-stakes game where trust is dangerous and failure could be catastrophic.
The Iris Affair is created, written, and showrun by Neil Cross (Luther) and directed by Terry McDonough (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) and Sarah O’Gorman (A Gentleman in Moscow, The Witcher).
The cast also includes Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones, Force Majeure), Harry Lloyd (Arcane, Marcella), Meréana Tomlinson (The Trials), Sacha Dhawan (The Great, Doctor Who), Maya Sansa (Good Morning, Night, Dormant Beauty), Peter Sullivan (Poldark, The Borgias), Debi Mazar (Younger, Entourage), Marco Leonardi (Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Anime Nere), Angela Bruce (Silver Haze, Doctor Who) and Lorenzo De Moor (A Simple Favor 2, Dolce Fine Giornata).

The Iris Affair is a Sky Studios and Fremantle co-production. Wildside, a Fremantle company, provided production services in Italy. The series is directed by Terry McDonough and Sarah O’Gorman, and the Series executive producer is Tim Bricknell (The Power, Taboo). Susan E. Connolly and Ian Scott McCullough have written episodes. Executive producers are Adrian Sturges for Sky Studios; Neil Cross, Terry McDonough, Jenni Sherwood, and Dante Di Loreto. Fremantle is handling international sales of the series.
