23 May 2025 - Grand slam tennis action returns for the 130th iteration of Roland-Garros as the action live from the iconic clay courts of Paris gets underway Sunday 7:00pm AEST on the Home of Grand Slam Tennis, Stan Sport.
Jannik Sinner [1] and reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz's [2] epic rivalry is set to continue with the two dominating the mens game combining to win the past five grand slam titles. Alcaraz has been the form player on clay in 2025, recently winning the Monte Carlo and Rome Masters to return to world no.2.
The Australian contingent will be spearheaded by Alex de Minaur, who enters the tournament full of confidence. “I'm close to my peak on clay, I believe, but right now I see myself ready to beat anyone on this surface," said the Australian world no. 9 in a recent press conference.
Fellow countrymen Alexei Popyrin [25] and Jordan Thompson [38] will also look to make in-road in the men's draw. For the first time in eight years, Nick Kyrgios returns to Roland-Garros forming an all-Aussie duo with Jordan Thompson in the men's doubles draw.
On the women's side, all eyes will be on Russian born Daria Kasatkina [17] who will represent Australia for the first time at a Grand Slam having recently becoming a permanent resident.
The overwhelming women's favourite heading into the tournament is former world no.1 and reigning champion Iga Świątek. Despite her current form slump and ratings slide to world no.5, she remains an almost unstoppable force on clay - amazingly winning four of the last five Roland-Garros titles.

For all the Roland-Garros headlines, talking points and highlights, Grand Slam Daily will be streaming every morning of the tournament live and exclusive on Stan and Stan Sport from 11:00am AEST.
Hosted by Chris Stubbs with renowned Australian player, coach and commentator Wally Masur, the pair will cross regularly over the course of the tournament to Duncan McKenzie-McHarg on the ground in Paris, who will be chatting with some of the biggest names in world tennis.
With every match streaming live and on-demand on Stan Sport, and with two courts in stunning 4K, tennis has never looked better.
Watch all the action from Roland Garros 2025 live & on-demand on Stan Sport, with two courts in 4K UHD.
