July 2, 2025 – With two weeks to go until the biggest fight of his career, All Blacks and NRL icon Sonny Bill Williams held an open training session in Brisbane ahead of his hugely anticipated showdown with NRL legend Paul Gallen. The vitriol between the pair is on full display, and preparations are ramping up for both camps ahead of a blockbuster card at SBW v Gallen on 16 July, with tickets available at Ticketek, and also streaming live and exclusive on Stan Pay-Per-View.

Speaking to media at Fortitude Boxing Gym in Brisbane today alongside Olympic medallist David Nyika and teenage sensation Alex Leapai Jr, both also part of the epic fight card, Williams didn't mince his words.

"I got a couple of messages where people said, 'I've never seen you trash talk'. But how can it be trash talk when it's facts? All facts", he said.

"This is probably the first fight where I've thought this is an actual fight I want to have. I'm as prepared as I can be, this is probably the hardest I've trained. This has really lit a fire in me thinking man, this is all or nothing.

"If this is the last hurrah, I'm going out with a bang. I've never claimed to be the best boxer in the world, but I've always claimed to be able to beat him.

"You poke the bear too much, that bear's going to come for a bite."
