STAN CELEBRATES 18 NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2024 AACTA AWARDS

December 8, 2023 – Stan, Australia’s unrivalled home of original productions, today celebrates 18 nominations for the 2024 AACTA Awards, with the Stan Original Series Black Snow receiving seven nominations. A further nine nominations were received for Stan Original Series including RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under Season 3, Bad Behaviour, Bump Season 3, Wolf Like Me Season 2, Ten Pound Poms, Bali 2002, and two nominations for the Stan Original Film The Portable Door. 

The Stan Original Series Black Snow has been honoured with a nomination for Best Drama Series, along with six additional nominations including Best Lead Actor in a Drama for Travis Fimmel, Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for Alexander England, Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for Brooke Satchwell, Best Production Design in Television, Best Screenplay in Television and Best Sound in Television.

Created by Lucas Taylor, Black Snow is a thrilling crime drama set in North Queensland starring Travis Fimmel and Talijah Blackman-Corowa, from production company Goalpost Television. Set in the sugarcane fields of North Queensland with deep ties to the Australian South Sea Islander community, the six-part mystery drama series Black Snow combines the character-driven storytelling of a coming-of-age drama with the gripping mystery of a classic whodunnit.

The smash-hit Stan Original Series Bump Season 3 also received a nomination for Best Drama Series. The family-driven drama starring Nathalie Morris, Carlos Sanson Jr., Angus Sampson and Claudia Karvan (who also serves as co-creator and series producer), is produced by Roadshow Rough Diamond and its founders Dan and John Edwards. Bump Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are now streaming with the brand-new season premiering Boxing Day, only on Stan.

The Stan Original Series RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under Season 3 slayed with two nominations including Best Reality Program and Best Comedy Performer for much-loved Drag Race judge, Rhys Nicholson. Hosted by drag icon RuPaul, the Stan Original Series RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is a World of Wonder production in collaboration with Warner Bros. International Production New Zealand for Stan and TVNZ.

Further nominations include Best Miniseries and Best Original Score in Television for the Stan Original Series Bad Behaviour, Best Lead Actor for Richard Roxburgh’s performance in the Stan Original Series Bali 2002, Best Hair and Makeup and Best Production Design for the fantastical Stan Original Film The Portable Door, Best Costume Design in Television for the Stan Original Series Ten Pound Poms, and Best Hair and Makeup and Best Visual Effects or Animation for the Stan Original Series Wolf Like Me Season 2.
