July 23, 2026 – Stan today celebrated the launch of the Stan Original Drag Race Down Under vs The World with an exclusive preview of the first episode at Universal in Sydney ahead of the premiere tomorrow, only on Stan.
Stepping onto the runway at the iconic Oxford Street venue, guests were treated to an afternoon of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. Hosted by beloved franchise judge and comedian Rhys Nicholson, who brought their signature sharp wit to the stage, the crowd was brought to their feet by a show-stopping performance from Down Under alumni Max Drag Queen.
Adding star power to the celebration were superstar guest judges Beks and Keiynan Lonsdale, and red carpet critic Fashion Critical. Representing the home turf were iconic Down Under queens Art Simone, Coco Jumbo, Nikita Iman, and Vybe, alongside legendary international guest queen Nicole Paige Brooks, giving attendees a true taste of the global rivalry to come this season.
A glittering array of Drag Race royalty and alumni also turned out to support the launch, including Hannah Conda, Pomara Fifth, Molly Poppinz, Etcetera Etcetera, Minnie Cooper, Ivory Glaze, Carmen Geddit and Faux Fur.
In the brand new season, five iconic Drag Race Down Under queens will battle six formidable drag artists from around the world, each representing their own country and international series of Drag Race. Hosted by Michelle Visage, the eleven queens will compete in a variety of challenges and runways to test their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.
Unlike Drag Race Down Under, this time, the top two queens of the week choose which of the bottom two queens they want to eliminate from the competition. After a final lipsync battle, the winning performer reveals which of the bottom queens they have chosen to send home. Who will take home the crown? Down Under or The World.
The Stan Original Drag Race Down Under vs The World premieres tomorrow, Friday July 24, only on Stan. New episodes weekly.
