STAN ORIGINALS SECURE 18 NOMINATIONS FOR THE ​
​2026 AACTA AWARDS

The Stan Original The Surfer leads with seven nominations including Best Film, Best Supporting Actor in a Film (Julian McMahon) and Best Original Score.

December 6, 2025 - Stan today celebrates 18 nominations for the 2026 AACTA Awards, with The Surfer securing seven nominations, Bump three nominations, and both Invisible Boys and Black Snow receiving a further two nominations. Other nominations for Stan Originals include Watching You, Revealed - Death Cap Murders, and Ten Pound Poms.

The Stan Original The Surfer celebrates seven nominations, including Best Film, Best Supporting Actor in a Film (Julian McMahon) and Best Original Score.

The Stan Original Bump season 5 has been honoured with two nominations for Best Acting in a Comedy Series for Claudia Karvan and Angus Sampson, alongside a nomination for Best Narrative Comedy Series. The family-driven drama starring Nathalie Morris, Carlos Sanson Jr., Claudia Karvan and Angus Sampson is produced by Roadshow Rough Diamond and its founders Dan Edwards and John Edwards alongside Claudia Karvan (creator, producer) and Kelsey Munro (writer, creator, and producer).

The Stan Original Black Snow season 2 has been recognised with two nominations including Best Drama Series and Best Lead Actor in a Drama (Travis Fimmel). Directed by Sian Davies, Helena Brooks and Travis Fimmel, who also serves as EP, produced and executive produced by Goalpost Pictures' Rosemary Blight, and written, created, and executive produced by Lucas Taylor, the cold-case mystery series stars Travis Fimmel, Jana McKinnon, Megan Smart, Alana Mansour, Daniel Spielman, Victoria Haralabidou and Kat Stewart. 

Created for television, written, and directed by Logie and AACTA award-winner Nicholas Verso, the Stan Original Invisible Boys secured two nominations for Best Miniseries and Best Editing in Television. 

Set against the backdrop of the 2017 same-sex marriage plebiscite, the series explores the challenges faced by a group of young gay men in the remote coastal town of Geraldton, Western Australia. The series stars Joseph Zada, Pia Miranda, Joe Klocek, Aydan Calafiore and Zach Blampied. The series is produced by Tania Chambers OAM for Feisty Dame Productions and Nicholas Verso for Asphodel Films.

The Stan Original One More Shot has been nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Film (Emily Browning), and the Stan Original Watching You has been nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Drama (Aisha Dee). The psychological thriller was created for television and written by Alexei Mizin and Ryan van Dijk, produced by Lingo Pictures’ Jason Stephens and Bree-Anne Sykes, and directed by Peter Salmon and Sian Davies.
