October 15, 2026 - Horror enthusiasts gathered tonight for Stan's immersive event on Sydney's historic Cockatoo Island, transformed into the iconic setting of Camp Crystal Lake. The psychological thriller series and prequel to the Friday the 13th franchise, Crystal Lake, delivers a thrilling new mystery for fans and newcomers alike, as it expands the lore surrounding one of horror’s most infamous stories. Just in time for Halloween, Crystal Lake premieres tomorrow, Friday October 16, only on Stan.

Setting the stage to bring the chilling world of Crystal Lake to life on Cockatoo Island, the journey launched as guests - fans, media and creators - including horror author and influencer Caleb Finn (15.2M TikTok + 911K IG), Matthew Zukowski (130K IG), stunt and parkour creator Alexander Robinson (780K TikTok), pop culture and lifestyle creator Sam BT (663K TikTok), and pop culture creator Molly McCran (709K TikTok) who all boarded a private ferry accompanied by camp counsellors, and full of uncertainty, they set off to experience Cockatoo Island's transformation into Crystal Lake.

Leaving the Sydney city skyline behind, new campers arrived on the island and stepped back in time beneath a vintage "Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake" banner. Greeted by camp counsellors, they were guided through the historic 200-metre stone tunnel of Cockatoo Island, where echoing summer camp laughter provided a distinctly unsettling and immersive prelude.

Guests then arrived at Cockatoo Island's Turbine Hall, transformed into a woodland summer camp complete with canoes, tents, picnic areas, and thematic photo spots. As they enjoyed camp-inspired dining, an escalating sense of foreboding left everyone wondering what hidden horrors waited around them, echoing the atmosphere of Crystal Lake.

As night settled, campers took their seats for an exclusive screening of the first episode of the chilling new series Crystal Lake before its global release.

Crystal Lake stars Emmy nominee Linda Cardellini (DTF St. Louis, Dead to Me) and was created by showrunner, writer, and executive producer Brad Caleb Kane, who joins A24 and original Friday the 13th writer Victor Miller and Horror, Inc. in bringing the Jason Universe story to the screen.

Crystal Lake follows single mother Pam Voorhees (Emmy nominee Linda Cardellini) after her young son Jason drowns in the town lake, a catalyst for her elusive past to return. When two strangers suddenly arrive at Pam’s door, digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion that has the townspeople wondering: just who is Pam Voorhees, and what horrors haunt Crystal Lake?

In addition to Cardellini, the ensemble cast brings to life a host of characters that capture the distinctive quirks and eccentricities of small-town life in Crystal Lake, including William Catlett as local police chief, Levon Brooks, and Devin Kessler as Levon’s journalist sister, Brianna; Cameron Scoggins as police officer Dorf; Gwendolyn Sundstrom as Grace, a fellow camper and friend of Jason; and Callum Vinson as young Jason.

From Crystal Lake Creator / Writer / Showrunner / Executive Producer Brad Caleb Kane (IT: Welcome to Derry, Tokyo Vice, Warrior) and Executive Producers Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox, and Roy Lee.

Right on time for Halloween, the new series Crystal Lake premieres tomorrow Friday October 16, all episodes at once, only on Stan.
