STAN UNVEILS THE OFFICIAL TRAILER FOR TWISTED NEW DRAMEDY
THE MINIATURE WIFE
March 4, 2026 — Stan today released the trailer for the highly anticipated 10-episode series The Miniature Wife, a dark, comedic battle of wills between an egotistical scientist and his shrunken spouse. Starring Emmy®-nominee Elizabeth Banks and BAFTA and Emmy®-winner Matthew Macfadyen, all episodes of the series will premiere April 9, only on Stan.
When brilliant but egotistical scientist Les (Matthew Macfadyen) accidentally shrinks his wife Lindy (Elizabeth Banks) during a failed experiment, he promises to fix it in a day or two, tops. But as the days drag on, Lindy realises her captivity isn’t an accident… it’s control. Trapped in a dollhouse and armed with nothing but her wits, she begins to fight back. What starts as a marriage in crisis spirals into an epic, twisted battle for dominance and survival.
The series features an impressive ensemble cast including Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show, Crazy Rich Asians), Zoe Lister-Jones (New Girl, Life In Pieces, Friends with Better Lives), Sofia Rosinsky (Paper Girls, Death and Other Details), O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale, Presumed Innocent), Sian Clifford (Fleabag, The Ballad of Wallis Island), Aasif Mandvi (Evil, The Daily Show), Rong Fu (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Hello (Again)) and Tricia Black (Small Achievable Goals, Pretty Hard Cases).
The Miniature Wife is based on author Manuel Gonzales’ short story and is created by Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner (Boardwalk Empire, Goliath), who serve as showrunners and executive producers. Greg Mottola (Superbad, Nobody Wants This) serves as a director (episodes 1, 2, 7, 8) and executive producer on the series. The series hails from television studio Media Res with Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer serving as executive producers for the studio. Banks, Macfadyen, Michael Aguilar (I’m Dying Up Here, Kidding) and Suzanne Heathcote (The Crowded Room, Killing Eve) also serve as executive producers. The Miniature Wife is distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television.
