When Minnie Vernon (Emily Browning) realises there’s something missing from her life, she wonders if it might be her on-again-off-again flame Joe (Sean Keenan), who’s back from New York to ring in the new millennium with their closest friends. Armed with a mysterious bottle of tequila, Minnie arrives at a swanky beach house, only to discover that Joe’s brought his new girlfriend (Aisha Dee).
Minnie takes a shot of tequila and is suddenly transported back in time to the moment she first arrived at the party. She soon realises she has a bottle’s worth of chances to win Joe’s heart and start her millennium right. But as she tries to rewrite the night, things quickly spiral out of control and no matter what she does or how many times she resets, she can’t escape herself.

A prequel to Outlander, the series explores the lives and relationships of two couples as they fight against all odds to be together: the parents of Outlander’s Claire Randall - Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine); and those of Outlander’s Jamie Fraser - Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy). From the battlefields of World War I to the rugged Highlands of 18th century Scotland, two fated couples must defy the forces that seek to tear them apart, intersecting in surprising and unforeseen ways.
The season finale centres on Ellen Fraser and Malcolm Grant’s wedding day, while simultaneously, Julia and Henry attempt their escape.
