Starring BAFTA Award-winner Sean Bean, Robin Hood reimagines the legendary tale against the backdrop of the Norman invasion of England. Rob, the son of a Saxon forester, falls in love with Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord. Together, they fight for justice and freedom: Rob rises to lead a band of rebel outlaws, while Marian infiltrates the court to expose corruption and help bring peace to the land.

New series Robin Hood premieres November 2, only on Stan.

Set between 2002 and 2012, the drama follows two real-life stories: investigative journalist Nick Davies (David Tennant, Rivals) uncovering phone hacking at the News of the World, and former Met Police Detective ​ superintendent Dave Cook (Robert Carlyle, Cobra) leading the probe into the unsolved murder of private investigator Daniel Morgan. Toby Jones (Mr Bates vs. The Post Office) also stars as former Guardian editor Alan Rusbridger.

In this week's episode all the Highland clans attend the Earl of Mar’s annual hunting event at Braemar Castle, where the Earl makes an inflammatory proclamation.
