Created by BAFTA-winning Danny Brocklehurst and from the team behind the award-winning series Sex Education, the series stars Michelle Keegan (Brassic, Downton Abbey), Faye Marsay (Game of Thrones), and Warren Brown (Luther), alongside Australian actors Hattie Hook (Savage River, Of An Age), Finn Treacy (The Stan Original Film The Portable Door), Emma Hamilton (The Tudors, Mr Selfridge), Stephen Curry (Bay of Fires) and David Field (Shantaram).

Inspired by true events in Australia’s history, Ten Pound Poms is six-part series that follows a group of Brits as they leave dreary post-war Britain in 1956 to embark on a life-altering adventure on the other side of the world. For only a tenner, they have been promised a better house, better job and a better quality of life in idyllic sun-soaked Australia. But life down under isn’t exactly as they had hoped; struggling with their new identity as immigrants, these Brits must adapt to a new life in a new country far from Britain and familiarity.

The series is directed by Jamie Stone and Australia’s Ana Kokkinos (Fires, The Hunting). Produced by Eleven, Gaynor Holmes executive produces for the BBC and Amanda Duthie and Cailah Scobie for Stan with Joel Wilson, Olivia Trench and Jamie Campbell executive producing for Eleven. Joining Danny Brocklehurst on the writing team are Ryan Griffen, Smita Bhide and Ava Pickett. Sony Pictures Television (SPT) distribute the series worldwide.
