STARS JOIN CAST IN QUEENSLAND FOR THE BLUE CARPET PREMIERE OF THE STAN ORIGINAL SERIES BLACK SNOW

12 December 2022 – Stan, Australia’s unrivalled home of original productions, celebrated the upcoming New Year's Day launch of the Stan Original Series Black Snow on Friday night with a blue carpet premiere at Event Cinemas Myer Centre in Brisbane.

Cast members including Jemmason Power, Molly Fatnowna, Alex EnglandSeini Willet, Rob CarltonJoshua Macqueen, Daniela Farinacci, Eden Cassidy, Annabel Wolfe, Joe Kelly and Anthony J. Sharpe walked the blue carpet, alongside musician Ziggy Ramo, who makes his screen debut in Black Snow. Creator Lucas Taylor was in attendance, alongside director Sian Davies, executive producers Rosemary Blight and Ben Grant, and producers Kaylene Butler and Lois Randall. 

They were joined by Screen Queensland CEO Courtney Gibson, the Hon. Curtis Pitt MP, MC and Nova 106.9's Mitch Lewis, alongside Lincoln Lewis, Mike Goldman and the stars of the Stan Original Dating Series Love Triangle, Alex Dalton, Madison Orchard, Kyle Romaior and Bec Joy.

A six-part crime drama set in the sugarcane fields of North Queensland, Black Snow is a captivating drama series with deep ties to the Australian South Sea Islander community, combining the character-driven storytelling of a coming-of-age drama with the gripping mystery of a classic whodunit.

Black Snow stars Travis Fimmel (Vikings) with newcomers Talijah Blackman-Corowa, Jemmason Power, Molly Fatnowna and Eden Cassady, alongside Brooke Satchwell (Stan Original Film Poker Face), Alexander England (Stan Original Series C*A*U*G*H*T), Erik Thomson (C*A*U*G*H*T), Kim Gyngell (Stan Original Series No Activity), Rob Carlton (Stan Original Series Bali 2002), Jimi Bani (Mabo), Daniela Farinacci (Total Control) and Lucy Bell (The Secrets She Keeps). The series will also feature the screen debut of Australian music sensation Ziggy Ramo.

Black Snow is produced by Goalpost Television, created by Lucas Taylor (Harrow), writing alongside Boyd Quakawoot (Black Comedy) and Beatrix Christian (Jindabyne). Directed by Sian Davies (Stan Original Series The Gloaming) and Matthew Saville (Please Like Me) and shot by Murray Lui (Top End Wedding), the series is produced by Goalpost’s Rosemary Blight (The Invisible Man), alongside Lois Randall and Kaylene Butler.

The Stan Original Series Black Snow has received major production investment from Screen Australia in association with Stan, and is financed with support from Screen Queensland, Screen NSW and AMC Networks’ Sundance Now who also serve as distributor in the U.S., Canada, and U.K. Financed and produced in association with All3Media International.
