UEFA WOMEN’S EURO 2025™ KICKS OFF A NEW ERA ON STAN SPORT

An exciting new chapter in the coverage of global football begins on Thursday with the launch of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025™, marking the start of a blockbuster lineup of international football on Stan Sport.

2 July 2025 – Kicking off tomorrow (3 July), UEFA Women’s EURO 2025™ is the first major competition to stream on Stan Sport under Nine’s newly expanded football rights slate. With all 31 matches available live and on demand, the tournament signals the start of Stan Sport’s evolution as a destination for world-class football.

This follows Monday’s announcement that Nine has secured the exclusive rights to the Premier League and Emirates FA Cup, alongside the addition of Japan’s J.League and the United States’ National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) to Stan Sport’s growing portfolio – reaffirming the platform's commitment to delivering a premium, global football experience.

Amanda Laing, Managing Director, Streaming and Broadcast at Nine, said:
“UEFA Women’s EURO 2025™ marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Stan Sport – and there’s no better tournament to lead the way. It’s a showcase of world-class talent, fierce national pride, and the rising influence of women’s football on the global stage. With the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, Emirates FA Cup, J.League and the National Women’s Soccer League also joining the schedule, we’re building a destination that reflects our ambition – to deliver a richer, more connected football experience to fans across Australia.”

Now regarded as a premiere event on the global football calendar, UEFA Women’s EURO 2025™ continues to grow in stature and captivate audiences. Held in Switzerland, the 14th edition of the championship will feature Europe’s top 16 national teams divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage – with all 31 matches streamed live and on demand on Stan Sport. The tournament kicks off with a blockbuster double-header on Thursday 3 July:

  • Finland v Iceland (2:00am AEST)
  • Switzerland v Norway (5:00am AEST)

Together with its existing and incoming rights, UEFA Women’s EURO 2025™ signals the start of a new era for Stan Sport – one where football fans can experience more competitions, from more countries, with greater access than ever before.
