WALLABIES CLASH WITH SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE RIVALS AS THE RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP AND BLEDISLOE CUP KICK OFF ON STAN SPORT

EVERY MATCH STREAMING AD-FREE, LIVE & ON DEMAND WITH WALLABIES HOME TESTS IN STUNNING 4K UHD ON THE HOME OF RUGBY, STAN SPORT.

SUNDAY JULY 9 - SATURDAY AUGUST 5

July 5 2023 - With the Rugby World Cup 2023 only months away, the Wallabies will be hoping for some winning momentum as they face off against some of the top Test nations in the world with The Rugby Championship kicking off this Sunday morning from 12:30am AEST on the Home of Rugby, Stan Sport.

The Rugby Championship this year will have further reaching implications, acting as a dress rehearsal for the Rugby World Cup 2023 which begins 9 September on Stan Sport. Every team will be out to impress, and every player will be looking to cement their spot in the starting side.

First up for the Wallabies is their clash with the Springboks in South Africa that will prove to be a true litmus test for them, and for the prodigal coach Eddie Jones, who returns to mentor the side for the first time in 18 years following a successful stint with England. Stan Sport commentator Morgan Turinui will also be live at the ground during the broadcast.

Taking place in Pretoria, a place where the Wallabies are winless from seven attempts, they will be out to deliver a statement by breaking their hoodoo at the ground. Michael Hooper has been named co-captain of the Wallabies alongside the venerable James Slipper, as they face a wily South African side who will be heading in as clear favourites. Enforcer Eben Etzebeth meanwhile will no doubt savouring another showdown with Wallabies prop Allan Alaalatoa, after infamously engaging in a fiery skirmish together when they last faced off.

The South African encounter will be followed by a matchup at CommBank Stadium the next weekend in Sydney against the always-willing Argentina, with 'Los Pumas' having only beaten the Wallabies on home turf twice before in history.

The Wallabies will then be out to defy history in the Bledisloe Cup, hoping to end the All Blacks 21-year stranglehold over the prestigious trophy, always one of the most storied and epic sporting events each calendar year. This year's Bledisloe Cup will again be taking place as a part of The Rugby Championship.

Saturday July 29 marks the first leg of the two-game series, in front of what is expected to be a monster crowd in Melbourne, the Wallabies will return to the MCG for the first time in 16 years since their come-from-behind victory over the All Blacks in front of 80,000 sceaming fans in 2007.

The action moves to the All Blacks backyard one week later, as the Wallabies step into enemy territory in Dunedin, where an intimidating sea of black jerseys will be more than willing to give them a hostile welcome.

Tickets for both Wallabies v Argentina and Wallabies v All Blacks are on sale now at wallabies.rugby/tickets.
